Ashley Lauren Ha

About

Ashley Lauren Ha (she/her) is a California native who never saw herself entering the world of theater. Growing up, she never imagined herself on any stage. She was a very shy kid who was too scared to use her voice. The first time her parents heard her sing was in 8th grade when she had her first solo in choir. After they realized she could sing, her parents started her in voice lessons.

Ashley's high school experience was not normal by any means. The pandemic started at the end of her freshman year, she went completely remote her sophomore year and then switched high schools for her junior and senior years. Those years were immensely difficult, but she decided to make the most of her time.

In the fall of 2020, she began working with ZBroadway to provide accessible online experiences with Broadway professionals for everyone isolating at home. She helped organize and run events to create joy at a time when people felt disconnected. She and her co-host Eli Foodman then shifted to a podcast format once things got back to normal.

Then, in the winter of 2022, Ashley created her own podcast, Broadway Corner with Ashley Ha. She mainly highlights performers of color and talks about the importance of representation.

Although Ashley loves to create content on her social media pages, she is a singer, actor, and dancer first.

During her senior year, Ashley auditioned for 14 musical theatre BFA programs and committed to Boston Conservatory in their musical theater class of ‘27. She moved to Boston in 2023 and has focused on creating a solid foundation in training through voice lessons, acting classes, and dance classes.

Ashley also had the opportunity in the Summer of 2024 to study abroad in Taiwan. She studied Mandarin, got further connected to her culture, and made lifelong friends and unforgettable memories.

Ashley also loves to try new food, snuggle her dog, vlog adventures with her family, and take photos.
